Hi all. I am trying hard to educate the public about organic mattresses and the proof that the mattresses labelled organic or natural are often misleading. I have recently come across the EcoInstitute lab report for a competitor, Savvy Rest. This report shows their rubber contains toluene, and formaldehyde. I also got a copy of the lab test they did at Associated labs and I was shocked. I also tested our rubber at Associated Labs and we tested to as far down as the lab was physically able to do and came out clean. They tested down to 500 times as high as our test. So they must have specifically asked to have a weak test done. Shocking and surprising. Of course it came out better than the in depth test. If you test to 2500 rather than 50 you should come out clean even if it has 500 ppm of formaldehyde or toluene. So again, just be careful when spending any money on organics and natural. Be sure to ask questions, ask for testing, ask for explanations of those confusing test results. Tell me and everyone on this new blog what you wish to know. I am doing the research and I hope to learn more of what you wish to know. If you want to see the CDC info on toluene and it’s toxicity, let me know and I can send you the link. I am hoping to put it on my site if I can learn how. I am computer illiterate myself.
